Thank you for reading those, because there was no way I was going to. That one issue Patsy Walker devoted to tying into Civil War II was more than enough for me.

Gwenpool's shtick is she's a comic fan from our world, roughly, and has fallen into the Marvel Universe, so she knows all the secret identities, and as you noted, rules for who is going to get to kill off major characters. A major reason why she put on a costume was because faceless extras tend to die in large numbers in Marvel comics, but heroic lead characters tend to survive longer. How heroic she is, is debatable.

I know they made Deadpool a mutant in the movie, but I think he's been regarded as a mutate in the comics for at least a long time (it was a recurring joke in Cable/Deadpool that Wade would refer to himself as an X-Man and fellow mutant, and whatever X-Man was present ould rebut that Deadpool was not, in fact, an X-Man or a mutant), maybe the entirety of his existence. He doesn't have the "mutant gene", but the people who experimented on Wolverine basically grafted Logan's healing factor onto Wade Wilson via science.CalvinPitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11815632086057048846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28855039.post-10444795065227617972017-06-10T06:35:47.361-07:002017-06-10T06:35:47.361-07:00A series of really good reviews! But Marvel has done a terrible job in collecting comics for the trade recently, and you spotlight that very effectively in several places in the number of ways they screw it up. Indeed, as you say, if I were buying my Marvels in trade, I'd be more than a little ticked off.

Carol was revealed, a bit hamhandedly, in a series of issues from v3 of Avengers (and I think a few Iron Man crossover issues). I felt it really didn't do much to define the character other than "alcoholism is bad."Bullyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11708103213119467419noreply@blogger.com
