I didn't actually read it, but apparently the Morrison Joker has been established as the real Joker and the more traditional Joker that was showing up at the same was a former henchman who was obsessed with replacing the boss.

...Kind of like Xorn in reverse.esteban138https://www.blogger.com/profile/16710963218674106511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28855039.post-35052848408903651872009-12-18T18:43:11.988-08:002009-12-18T18:43:11.988-08:00Um, if you read the text-filled epilogue with Icon...Um, if you read the text-filled epilogue with Icon, Superman, and Dharma, you can see a hand waving attempt to say "Final Crisis damaged the Milestone U, but Dharma used the opportunity of Final Crisis to merge it with the DCU."

Yeah, there is a panel saying that the Milestone Universe was destroyed by the energy released by Darkseid's death, and that Dharma was only able to save it by grafting it onto the DCU, but...I don't really get it. The multiversal shifting that went on during Final Crisis should have been beyond the control of Dharma, but then, I don't have any idea who he is or what his deal is.

I don't remember which issue it was, but I was really thrown when we saw Flash running around WHILE HE WAS TRAPPED IN TWILIGHT. We see Flash running around, and then he escapes from inside Twilight a few pages later.

Oh yeah! Let me go check...

No, they didn't fix that. Flash disappears into Twilight in the middle of one issue, and doesn't come out of him until the next issue, but there are at least three panels in which Benes draws the Flash standing around with the other heroes on the Watchtower when he's supposed to be inside Twilight.

Weird.

My favorite example of that sort of thing is a panel where the Trinity are all sitting around an empty table, staring down at nothing, and Superman's like, "Hey, look, what's that?"and there's nothing there.

Then in the next panel, Batman is suddenly holding a big flashing red button.

I don't think the editors had much time to check for that sort of thing, since they were apparently all tied up by trying to find enough inkers to finish Benes' artwork each issue.Calebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01391759187396994380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28855039.post-81153900253268810452009-12-17T21:45:17.203-08:002009-12-17T21:45:17.203-08:00I don't remember which issue it was, but I was...I don't remember which issue it was, but I was really thrown when we saw Flash running around WHILE HE WAS TRAPPED IN TWILIGHT. We see Flash running around, and then he escapes from inside Twilight a few pages later. That's when I felt that the editor/artist/whoever cared less about the book than I did. Not sure why that one tiny (in the grand scheme of things) mistake set me off so much, but that was the closest I came to canceling JLA.

I wonder if that was fixed for the collection. I don't have my issues in front of me, so I can't say for sure which issue it was in.Patrick Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04244280974612331889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28855039.post-44891303921426282712009-12-17T21:31:04.454-08:002009-12-17T21:31:04.454-08:00Black Canary calls Hal Jordan and her husband Gree...Black Canary calls Hal Jordan and her husband Green Arrow into a meeting

I completely misinterpreted that sentence as "Hal Jordan and her husband Green Arrow," yet for some reason I didn't bat an eye.Hyle Russellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10508273208326244425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28855039.post-17431460972419236122009-12-17T20:35:52.401-08:002009-12-17T20:35:52.401-08:00Um, if you read the text-filled epilogue with Icon...Um, if you read the text-filled epilogue with Icon, Superman, and Dharma, you can see a hand waving attempt to say "Final Crisis damaged the Milestone U, but Dharma used the opportunity of Final Crisis to merge it with the DCU."

There's still a sense of frustration from McDuffie in these issues, specifically with the Paladin character. He's there to seemingly say "DC won't let me use Batman cause he's dead? Frick that, I'll just make up a Batman variant and use him."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
