This week's Las Vegas Weekly comics column contains reviews of this
this
and this
If you're like me, those first two are easy sells. Neat art in a story about a giant monster, a giant robot and Michael Bloomberg for a couple bucks? Sure, why not? Another installment of the fucking awesomest super-comic of all time? Yes!
But this Bigfoot book could be cause for consternation. Yes, it's full of stories about Bigfoot, so there's that. But it's an anthlogoy, and there are a few real duds in it. And it's a pretty big investment ($24.95, to be exact).
Is it worth it? I can't speak for you or your wallet, but I will say that it contains all five of the things I was looking for in an anthlogy of Bigfoot stories.
It had scary yeti-types...
It had scantily-clad women in peril...
It had plenty of Sasquatch-on-man violence...
It had stories in which Bigfoot's big feet translated into super-kicking powers, which could be applied to kicking a puma's ass...
...or simply kicking ass at kick ball...
And it had some really crazy shit, like President Bush awarding Crane-Armed Yeti a medal (Hey, he gave Tenet one)...
...or Santa using a Yeti to wreak vengeance upon naughty boys on his behalf when it's not Chrsitmas Eve...
