You have no idea how many times I've had dreams with Claire Danes riding on a unicorn in them. For that single image, Stardust gets high, high marks from my subsconscious mind. My conscious mind, however, has slightly higher standards for films to meet.

Despite a few bits of clunky dialogue and transitions, I have to admit that I enjoyed Stardust. I have no plans to ever buy it on DVD (or even watch it again, for that matter), but I got my money's worth from the theatre experience.
Cathy (whose never read Gaiman, nor cares much about fantasy) enjoyed it too, so I think my geekness didn't sway me too far one way or the other.
