My six-word review of Watchmen:

The best Zack Snyder movie ever!

(Probably more later in the week, when I get enough free time to devote to it. The main non-nitpick problems I had with it are of the sort that will take a few hundred words to explain).

That could mean anything.

That's actually pretty high praise, considering that, while 300 is horrible, Dawn of the Dead was one of the best zombie movies of the last several years.

I thought 300 kicked ass. It didn't aspire to be anything other than what it was.

I don't understand what this is supposed to mean.

It means I enjoyed watching it. It was big, dumb fun. I can watch a movie that just looks good and has great effects once in a while. They don't all have to be Henry V.

I actually really enjoyed 300 (it was one of very few movies I've seen where I laughed pretty much the whole time), and if someone asked me to come over and watch a movie and the choices were 300 and Watchmen, I'd probably choose 300 because it would be more fun to watch. But in most respects, I thought Watchmen was a better film.
