I have a review of Dean Trippe's stunning autobiographical comic Something Terrible, which, in all honesty, is one of the best Batman stories I've ever read, and on par with anything Grant Morrison's ever written about the interface between or relationship of fictional super-characters and our real world. And the fact that Trippe does it all in so few pages? I'm still a little awed by it, to be honest.
And earlier in the week at Good Comics For Kids, I reviewed Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji Ikari Detective Diary Vol. 1, the first in a new series of manga based on the anime, this one reimagining our hero as a boy detective. It's kind of insane, but a funnier, more pleasant sort of insane than the recent Campus Apocalypse reimagining was.
