It irritates me to no end that SHIELD has somehow morphed from a UN-controlled international agency to some kind of quasi-super CIA/NSA/FBI.

It's all true, but you could've, you know, made a joke about it, or at least criticized how forced his post-CW characterization has been.

Thanks. I wasn't real happy with the armor; I don't think I like the current design that much...or maybe I just like drawing capes better because they cover so much of the human figure.

I did absolutel no research beyond looking at pictures of Iron Man, so I'm not positive Bush DID appoint Stark. That was the impression I got from Civil War though...Marvel did make SHIELD a U.S. agency (or at least one controlled by the US) though, didn't they?

I don't think it's ever been fully explained exactly how Stark became SHIELD director (or why, since Maria Hill got the job to move the agency away from Fury's close ties with the capes). I'm not sure that Bush appointed the Hill as such, but it was clear she got the job because she was Bush's choice. The only reason they made SHIELD a U.S. organization is because Civil War wouldn't work without some kind of super-cop agency. But, as SHIELD still evidently operates openly and with impunity all over the world, it can't possibly be a U.S. agency. Little dumb stuff like that grates on me. Do none of these writers pay any attention to law, politics or international affairs? Do they even know what a newspaper is? (After reading "Front Line," clearly the answer is no.)

So...so perfect.

Iron Man should use a stick-on decal, rather than a magnet. Wouldn't a magnet get knocked off all the time?

I hope that magnet won't mess with the one in his heart!
