This week's LVW column takes a look at the new Fantagraphics collection of Gene Deitch's Terr'ble Thompson strip (which is just plain fantastic), and Hugs: Bloodpond, from which the above image was taken.
And yes, the devil does seem to be taking the form of a grizzly bear with a six-gun in a holster. The image presents an opportunity for a mildly amusing joke about the right to bear arms, but I can't seem to think of one at this late hour.
