He looked so much like Andy Runton's Owly that I had to stop and look extra closely to make sure it wasn't:
As you can see, the wings and feet are shaped differently. And, of course, the first orb-shaped owl is wearing a hat. So they're clearly not the exact same owl. But at the very least, they must be part of the same sub-species of cartoon owl, if not actually related, right?
