Re: your earlier question about Flash's costume--

the only real reason I can see for those additional tweaks & streaks is so the colorist can show off more. They add nothing, save to make his costume as busy as everyone else's in nu52.

The racing stripes-- that's what they are, right? like on a car? --they're a terrifically poor decision. You have a guy who's basically a blur, you'd like for him to be a -consistent- blur, which is why I thought the streamlining / paring-down of Wally's costume over the last twentysomething years was brilliant: it made him one of DC's most iconic & easily-drawn characters, no matter who held the reins. An artist could do it poorly, sure, but they'd have to be stoned and drunk to get it wrong.
