I've commented a few times before about some cool comic shops in the Columbus area... Well, I recently moved here and I was curious if you could give me some recommendations beyond Comic Town and Laughing Ogre (both great, but I just want to do some venturing...)
You recommended a used book shop before... could I get the name? And do you know of any other little gems I'm missing?
Oh man... I sat around trying to think of heavenly/diabolical flavors, and couldnt' come up with any (cakes are easy!) I woulda used heavenly hash if I thought of it.
LWC,
I go to the Laughing Ogre for most of my comics purchasing needs. The other shop I'd mentioned before is called Discount Paperbacks. It's on Chittenden south of Campus, almost directly on the corner of High and Chittenden. It's a little less user-friendly than the Ogre, but is chock full of stuff, and there are often quarter or fifty-cent bins and a pile of 50% off trades on the porch.
Jacob,
Thanks! I'd originally planned to have him pushing a shopping cart full of ice cream, but gave up on that idea because it seemed too hard.
Patrick, Sally and Andy,
Thanks for the kind words, and for visiting so often. I'm calling the Ice Cream Social off for now, but will pick it up again next July, since I never got around to so many of the Leaguers (More in a post-mortem post that will be coming shortly).
And I am thinking of doing similar things in the near future. I'll have a similar theme month a few months down the road probably. And, in the mean time, Red Bee and Black Lightning will likely be returning for some posts.
I'm glad to hear more theme months are coming. I just discovered your blog a couple weeks ago, and like everyone else, I've been loving the daily ice cream posts.

I realize July is over, but I don't think anyone would mind if these Ice Cream Social posts continued!
Oh please keep them coming. It just makes my day.
I concur - this has become something I look forward to every day! Maybe you can do a JLA Soup of the Day when the weather gets colder?!
That's an impressively detailed Zauriel sketch!
